Open Wedge Carrier Type: Usually this trailer type will have soft tie downs instead of chains on the frame. Most will carry 3 cars but some now carry 5 cars.
Open 6-8 Carrier Type: Chain tie-downs on most
Open 9-11 Carrier Type: Chain tie-downs and one or more cars will travel at an angle. Mostly used for cross-country hauls.
